So.  I stumbled across something a few days, with the help of one of my chatting friends from Seoul.  A wonderful five-member boy band group from Japan who call themselves Arashi.  The oldest, Ohno, is to turn thirty in a few months.  They've been around, apparently, for about eleven years.

Anyway, these boys are cute, handsome or even sexy depending on whom you have your sights on and what videos you're watching.  They're also sort of dorks and goofballs.  I love them.

..which reminds me.  Kirsti, if you're still around, I'm wondering why you didn't let me in on Arashi sooner D:  I mean, Kyo(uta) Takeda was Mayumi here's older brother.  His models' Jun Matsumoto, a member of this so-said band.  I'm rather disappointed that I couldn't learn of them sooner.  Oh well, no use crying over spilt mlik, right?

Current goal: stalk the shit out of these guys.  Haha.

Unfortunately, I can't put the video straight in this but.... I can link it.  I was looking up music videos last night, and eventually, of course, went raving for Lifehouse ones.  They're one of my all-time favorite alternative bands, and their music is pretty calm, and it always has meaning for me.  Well, I was thinking there was an actual mv for the song "Everything", and I discovered there wasn't.  But there was this (look below to skit).... and many like it.  They make me cry, they make me feel many things, but most of all, they renew my respect, appreciation and love for God.  You don't have to watch it, but I think it's wonderful.  Actually, I'll put up the first version, and then something someone made after seeing that one that fits very well as well.  Trust me, they are really, really worth the 10-11 combined minutes of your life.  They really, really are.

I love you all,
Shelly.

P.S.  Any thoughts or comments on the videos, even though they're not mine, would be awesome.  And I'd advise ignoring any comments to the actual videos on YouTube, because one particular user has been very rude and posts streams and streams of bashes.  I don't mind a difference in opinion, but there's a difference between a simple state of your own belief and non-stop bashing.

You Are a Cougar
You have more strength than most people, and with it, the ability to inflict a lot of harm.
Your power gives you confidence, and you find leading others to be easy.

You believe that you need to the best, and you are very driven to excel.
Most people immediately admire you, but some people feel very envious of your abilities.

Now I know what Windy was talking about.  Seriously.  I'm really not very confident, and I'm terrified of ever having to lead.  It's difficult.  I'm not driven at all, really.  I procrastinate and am NOT self-motivated, so I don't see how this is driven.  Very confusing.  Very weird.  I think this quiz is probably bad xD  Ironically enough, where I live is the WSU Vancouver campus, and their mascot is the cougar.  I like the animal, hate the school.

Hmm...so it's Spring Break and I've got like, nothing to do.  I work tomorrow and Tuesday, or maybe just tomorrow if I stay late, and then I'm done.  Obviously there's no school, and while my little brother is here and Mike is supposedly moving in on Tuesday, I'm honestly just not sure that's going to happen.  He bailed out the last time.  So...I'm sitting at the computer for the first time longer than ten minutes in quite awhile, and I'm looking outside.  I think I'll take a walk while the sky is still that pretty blue.  When I get home I'll probably stalk the roleplay threads I have linked on the sidebar in my journal and...I don't know.  Watch some Heartland maybe?  Play some more .hack// or Dynasty Warriors 5?  I'll do what I'll do.

Oh yeah, and we finally have milk again.  And bread.  I'm a very happy camper at the moment.  Also...the title.  Yeah, my bus pass nullifies in two days, so I'll really be stuck at home then. Oh well, my dad should be picking me up this week to take me to my grandma's.

It's the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. What season do you want it to be where you live?

Okay, as I said before I had finals coming up, right?  Right.  So they were actually pretty harmless.  My math final, out of the two hours possible for it, I finished in half an hour.  I didn't understand two word problems, but I think that was about it.  I went to work for awhile (getting there late--thanks final), so I left early.  I even got to my bus stop early since I ran the whole way there.  I had a bag that day, not a backpack.  It somehow passed me even earlier as half an hour later I saw it rolling by in the other direction.  Thankfully, it was a really nice (and pretty) day so I walked home.  It was then I was bombarded with an 'oh yeah, this strange guy youve only met twice and one time he sent you a text saying your mom (my mom was talking to me, btw) was hot is going to live with us now.  Hell be moving in soon.  Oh, and also, Tim (my brother) will be moving out again.'  As if the part about Tim wasn't bummer enough, but this weird, strange person will be moving in.  And into the room next to mine.

Which brings us up to today.  I had my swing final today.  Instead being tested on our knowledge, two guest instructors came in and taught us various 'dips'.  Because of my walk yesterday, the muscles behind my knee were strained so it was a bit difficult.  Well, that AND the guest instructors decided that we were sponges that could watch something and then imitate it on the spot.  I am not such a sponge.  But I had lots of fun, just the same.  We had a free period at the end, and Izaiah (one of our two really tall guys--Jackson being the other) decided to test some new moves out on me.  Not only did he flip me at quite a few points, but he would also pick me up, have me hold to his wrist (which, by then was really sweaty), and he'd hold onto my leg and then unravel (more like drop) me.  My face felt like it was two inches from the ground, but both maneuvers were great fun!  I'm really going to miss our two statues (the other surprised by how high I can jump while dancing), the one with no ear (who likes to make me do extra spins and the kick-turn charleston), a couple of the girls, and the boy who always wore the reptar shirt.  One, Rugrats is awesome, too, he loved doing the Sailor, as did I.  I'm going to miss them a load next quarter.

So here's my update.
Shelly ♥s you all!

And I'm still awake.  And not for any of the reasons I'd normally be up this late.  As most of you already know, my dear lovelies, I've been having asthmatic problems.  Well, not just that, but panic attacks, as well.  A lot of both, so I've been having trouble doing much.  I go to school only when absolutely necessary, and if it was pushing me I don't bother going to work.  If I missed school, however, if it's not too bad I'll go to work that day, so it's kind of a trade off.  I may not pay back my school debts in time, but oh well.  I'll live anyway.

So besides doing that, and school and work and stuff, not much has really been going on.  We've been looking for a place to move into because we can't afford the house payment and I'm scratching around for food and trying to get through all my books, maybe play a little Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon, Star Wars, or Persona here and there.  Typical, thankfully.

Something you probably don't know about is that last month I obtained a boyfriend--and he's in Texas.  It's kinda sad sometimes, but then again one of my dreams is to work as a voice actress for an anime company, and ADV films, the one I've been looking at for three years, is actually based in Texas so it works out.  (And it's soooo warm down there...I can't wait to move even though I'll miss my family and the green-age).  For the first time ever, funny as it is, I'm seeing someone my age. xD  Sorry, that amused me.

Anyway, the reason why I'm still up is because he had a very, very large panic attack tonight...for the first time.  It had been going on for about an hour when I was able to reach his mom and now they're probably at the emergency room.  I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep, so I got my shower in before doing this.  I'm just....I know he'll be fine but I can't help worrying and worrying about him.  And I'm praying he'll be okay.  I guess....what I'm asking is that if you have a moment, that you would pray, too.

Thank you.

When you're stuck in a boring class or meeting, what's your favorite way to keep yourself entertained (or at least from falling asleep)?

View 503 Answers

There are a couple different things I've done in the past (although sleep is the one that's happened the most--but we're trying to avoid that now).  I draw a lot.  I'll pick a corner of any paper (so long as it isn't from a book) and start drawing, and sometimes I won't stop until the meeting/class is over or until I've filled in the sheets.  I also like inking in the holes in letters, like the o's and b's and p's and e's and such.  I try and completely fill them in.  Hey, it's good testing practice and it takes awhile, trust me.  I'll also sit there and read a book if I think I can get away with it.  And if all else fails I'll start writing profiles or posts or do numerology or something to keep me busy and make it seem like  I'm taking notes.

Hmm....well, first things first.  I'd take care of my medical bill at the hospital, and by a new inhaler to replace the one that got stolen at the library >_> (psh, I know, right?)  I'd also put a whole lot of it in my savings account, just in case, you know?  I'd also start paying for my part of the phone bill, pay for my college, and move.  I really, really, really love the Pacific Northwest, but I'm starting to feel suffocated.  I think I'll head south somewhere.   Like Texas.  That would be awesome. >_> My "riches" as it's put, could pay my rent and such at an apartment I'll find until I get a job, hopefully with a voice acting company.  Because there are one or two down there.  I'd also try clearing some of my mom's debts, because she spent so much time taking care of me and puting my needs before her own.
